In Part 2 of our Emily in Paris Season 5 fashion coverage, we're examining our favorite looks from Episode 2. From a fake Fendi mishap to a “Mindy Martini”, this episode blurred the lines between real and fake and had Emily questioning many aspects of her life. But one thing we could never question? The immense beauty of the incredible filming locations! From an oceanside cocktail party to a jumpsuit-clad Vespa ride, Italy was once again a perfect backdrop to the styling genius of Costume Designer Marylin Fitoussi.

Lily's Rose Print Matching Set
The fake Fendi seen around the world! Our hearts went out to Emily during the embarrassing mishap at her pitch meeting. While her Grandmother's baguette may have been fake, the setting of this meeting certainly was not. The crew filmed this episode at the real Fendi Global Headquarters in Rome! Not only is it beautiful and historic - but it provides a phenomenal fashion backdrop for the styles curated by Costume Designer Marylin Fitoussi.

Emily Cooper has had several beautiful suit moments over the last few seasons, and this Alice + Olivia set from Season 5, Episode 2 was no exception! The outfit showcased a mix of blue and white prints paired with little pops of color from the Peekaboo Bag by Fendi and Poppies Scarf by Maison Malfroy.

Lily's Brown Printed Jumpsuit
The outfit that broke the internet! Fans around the world couldn’t get enough of this style that appeared in Netflix’s official “first look” photos for Season 5 - not to mention it was captured in a thousand street photos. While it doesn’t appear onscreen until Episode 2, this was the first Emily Cooper outfit we got to obsess over back in May. This classically elegant style really set the tone for what we could expect from Emily’s Italian era. As usual, every detail was perfect (I can’t get over that even the helmet and Vespa perfectly matched her ensemble).

As for the fashion - Costume Designer Marylin Fitoussi did a great job carefully mixing Italian designers with French, reminding us that Emily’s heart is very much tied to both worlds. From the Michele Jumpsuit by DVF (who has long emphasized both Italian and French textiles), to shoes by iconic Italian footwear designer Sergio Rossi, and a leather bag by Italian luxury brand Tod's. And just when you think it can’t get more Italian - they filmed part of this scene at the Fendi flagship store in Rome.

Sylvie Black Crochet Dress & Heels
We love a confident queen! Sylvie stunned in this sheer oceanside cocktail party look in Season 5, Episode 2. It’s not only the self-confidence in how she looks, it’s the way she carries herself in any situation. Her dismissal of the performative male ego was both iconic and resourceful - leaving the men to duke it out on the beach alone while she took off on her own speedboat. (Has there ever been a more fashionable getaway?) But the relationship moment we truly loved between her and Emily. Sylvie offered important advice with both directness and compassion, and Emily took it to heart without any pushback. Sylvie has never been one to shy away from feedback, but in previous seasons it was typically accompanied by an eye roll or exasperated tone. By Season 5 you can see how much mutual respect has been built between the two women. Philippine and Lily di beautiful work in this scene. ❤️
