TV SHOWS
Moira Rose
"Schitt's Creek" (Pop TV)
Few characters in recent memory have approached personal style with the commitment of Moira Rose. Her Schitt’s Creek wardrobe was an unapologetic parade of monochrome black-and-white, sculptural statement jewelry, feathers, dramatic hats, avant-garde silhouettes and - of course - an entire supporting cast of wigs. The result is a Halloween costume that can be as simple or gloriously excessive as you want it to be, so long as subtlety is nowhere on the agenda.
This year, dressing as Moira also carries a little more meaning. Following Catherine O’Hara’s passing in January 2026, revisiting the character feels like a fitting tribute to the actress who made Moira’s wonderfully bizarre fashion sensibility so unforgettable. So pile on the feathers, choose your most commanding necklace, introduce your wig by name, and remember: when it comes to Moira Rose, more is almost certainly more.
The Wigs
No Moira Rose costume is complete without the hair - or rather, one of the hairs. A blunt bob, icy ombré, or softly waved blonde wig instantly does a lot of the costume work for you.
Outfit 1: The ‘Finding David’ Feathered Funeral Look
For Moira’s unforgettable look in Season 2’s “Finding David,” layer black ruffles, lace, feathers and an oversized statement hat. The more it looks like couture mourning attire, the better. It's giving high-fashion Victorian funeral diva in the best way possible.

Shop and layer these pieces to achieve a similar aesthetic.
Outfit 2: Feathers & Statement Necklaces
When you don’t want to recreate one exact episode, this is the easiest Moira formula: start with an all-black base, then pile on feathers, oversized jewelry and one gloriously unnecessary accessory after another.

Shop and layer these pieces to achieve a similar aesthetic.
Look 3: Herb Ertlinger Fruit Wine Commercial
Recreate Moira’s ill-fated turn as a local wine spokesperson with a crisp white blouse, tailored black jacket and dramatic brooch. After imbibing, try to remember the name Herb Ertlinger. This outfit appears in Season 1, Episode 6, “Wine and Roses.”

Magick
"Euphoria" (HBO)
Euphoria Season 3 introduced Rosalía as Magick, and her crystal-studded neck brace became the most screenshotted accessory of the year. This look is equal parts glam, chaotic and wonderfully specific: a rhinestone-covered neck brace, glitter-heavy eye makeup and the kind of going-out look that makes absolutely no attempt to blend in. The embellished brace is the key to making the costume recognizable, while smoky sparkle, a dark lip and an optional stripper-inspired outfit take it the rest of the way.

The Bedazzled Neck Brace
The neck brace is what makes the look: start with a simple foam cervical collar, then turn it into Magick’s version with black-and-clear floral rhinestones and plenty of sparkle.
Mix and match the appliques or create a true-to-the-original replica!
The Makeup: Glitter & Drama
Go heavy on the sparkle: silver shadow, loose glitter and an iridescent topper make it easy to build Magick’s exaggerated smoky eye without needing one exact palette.
The Outfit: Magick After Dark
You can stop at the neck brace and makeup—or commit to the full persona with a rhinestone, chainmail or metallic halter top and extra-long statement nails.
Rob Rausch: Reality Snake Wrangler
"The Traitors US" (Peacock)
Love Island USA favorite Rob Rausch brought his snake-loving, overall-wearing energy straight to The Traitors—making this one of the easiest reality-TV costumes to pull off. The formula is simple: denim bib overalls, a white ribbed tank (or no shirt at all), snake tattoos winding up your arms, and, if you really want to commit, a rubber snake or two.

The Overalls
The signature piece: light-wash denim bib overalls. When we first encountered Rob on Love Island USA Season 6, he wore these fully commando. On Traitors, he kept it a bit more family-friendly by pairing with a ribbed tank. For max authenticity, we recommend to go shirtless!
Snake Tattoos
Temporary snake tattoos are the easiest way to make the costume instantly recognizable - layer a few along your arms and shoulders to mimic Rob’s signature ink.
Bonus Props
It's not a front - Rob actually is a professional snake wrangler! A faux snake prop is the perfect finishing touch - and an easy way to make sure everyone gets the costume with a prank or two.
MomTok
"The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" (Hulu)
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives turned MomTok into a full-blown pop-culture phenomenon...and conveniently gave us one of the easiest group costumes to recreate. Think fitted long-sleeve tops, slouchy sweats or matching lounge sets, ultra-mini boots, polished hair and one absolutely essential accessory: an oversized dirty soda. Bonus: it may also be the comfiest group costume of Halloween.

Matching Sets
Want the MomTok uniform in one click? A matching lounge set does most of the work. Stick with soft neutrals, pastels or classic black for the right off-duty look.
Mix & Match Separates
Prefer to build your own? Pair a fitted ribbed or scoop-neck top with oversized sweats in coordinating neutrals, grays, browns or pastels. (Note: Each item below comes in a variety of color and size options!)
The UGGs
The must-have footwear of the Mormon Wives, UGG's have been a tried and true comfort investment for decades. With a range of styles from slip-ons, slippers, booties and full boots, you can go authentic with the real deal - or keep the costume budget-friendly with a similar lookalike.
Similar dupes that we found!
BONUS: The Dirty Soda
Forget the handbag - the essential MomTok accessory is a giant dirty soda. No Swig nearby? Grab an oversized foam cup and customize it with your favorite Mormon Wives-inspired drink order or DIY logo.
DIY Tip: Stick with water-based paint markers; some solvent-based markers can damage polystyrene foam.
TikTok Creator Accessories
No MomTok costume is complete without the content. Add a phone mount, clip-on light or mini microphone so you’re ready to film the group dance, confessionals - or whatever drama unfolds before the night is over.
The Finishing Touches
Add oversized sunglasses, a neutral shoulder bag, glossy hair and fresh makeup for the full Utah-influencer effect.
JFK Jr. & Carolyn Bessette
"Love Story" (FX)
FX’s Love Story brought John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s relationship—and their endlessly referenced ’90s style—back into the spotlight. For a couples costume that doesn’t really feel like a costume, think Carolyn’s sleek minimalism paired with JFK Jr.’s effortless all-American prep.

Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy
Carolyn’s famously minimalist ’90s wardrobe is back in the spotlight thanks to Love Story. Think sleek slip dresses, fitted cardigans, crisp white shirts, black-and-neutral separates and understated accessories—the kind of pieces you’ll actually want to wear again after Halloween.

Outfit 1: The 90s Slip Dress
The easiest Carolyn formula: a simple black satin slip dress, barely-there strappy heels and an understated cardigan if you need another layer.
Outfit 2: Casual Dressy with Daytime Cardigan
For her polished daytime look, pair a fitted black cardigan with a satin skirt or slip dress, then add slim oval sunglasses and pointed or strappy black heels.
Outfit 3: Crisp White Shirt & Headband
For Carolyn at her most effortlessly ’90s, tuck an oversized white button-down into straight-leg denim and finish with a simple tortoiseshell headband.
John F. Kennedy Jr.
JFK Jr.’s off-duty wardrobe was ’90s American prep at its most effortless: Oxford shirts, relaxed trousers, chunky knits, loafers, tortoiseshell sunglasses and baseball caps that looked better the more worn-in they became.

Outfit 1: Classic Oxford & Khakis
Inspired by JFK Jr.’s tonal white look and his relaxed button-down-and-trouser combinations, pair a crisp white shirt with light khakis, a brown leather belt and brown loafers.
Outfit 2: Crewneck Sweater & Trousers
Recreate the camera-in-hand look with a simple black crewneck, relaxed gray trousers and dark loafers: the clean, understated combination seen in our reference collage.
Outfit 3: Relaxed Weekend Layers
Take inspiration from JFK Jr.’s casual button-downs, loose-fitting trousers and frequent use of hats by pairing an easy overshirt with relaxed pants and a vintage-style cap.
Outfit 4: Relaxed Pairings
Inspired by his white henley-and-dark-trouser look and blue button-down with light pants, mix classic henleys or striped Oxfords with relaxed chinos or cords for an easy variation on his off-duty style.
Accessories
JFK Jr.’s accessories were just as recognizable as his clothes. Finish the look with a worn-in Yankees cap (worn backwards!) and classic tortoiseshell or dark-frame sunglasses.
Finishing Touch
JFK Jr. was frequently photographed with a camera in hand, making a retro film camera an easy prop (and a useful tool to help you capture the evening!)
MOVIES
Freaky Nikki
"Obsession" (2026)
One Wish Willow = one very bad idea. Obsession turns Inde Navarrette’s Nikki into an instant horror-costume contender with an instantly recognizable red-and-black zebra halter, black leather shorts, and a seriously unsettling smile. Add a wish stick and a few IYKYK party props for the fans who know exactly how this night ends.

Complete Costume Sets
The easiest way to recreate Nikki’s party look: these sets pair the signature red zebra-print halter with black faux-leather shorts. (We included several options since this look is selling fast and availability may vary.)
Just the Top
Already have black leather shorts? Start with Nikki’s recognizable red-and-black zebra halter and build the rest of the costume from your own closet.
The Props
The outfit gets you most of the way there, but a One Wish Willow and strategically placed fake blood turn it into unmistakably Freaky Nikki. Just be careful what you wish for...
Bonus Party Props
Recreate the incredibly unhinged party atmosphere with a few scene-inspired tabletop extras: from block-stacking games to drinking games and a certain storybook that true fans will recognize.
Smoke, Stack, and Mary
"Sinners" (Warner Bros. Pictures)
Sinners turns 1930s Mississippi style into an especially good Halloween proposition: sharp three-piece suits, vintage hats and romantic satin — with a vampire twist. Dress as Smoke, Stack or Mary individually, or make it a group costume and add fangs and fake blood for Mary and Stack’s vampiric looks.

Mary (Hailee Steinfeld)
Mary’s pale pink satin dress starts out romantic and becomes considerably less innocent once the fangs come out. Recreate the look with a blush slip dress, matching wrap and vintage-inspired heels, then add vampire teeth and plenty of fake blood.

The easiest way to take the look from 1930s glamour to Sinners: add fangs and theatrical blood around the mouth, neck and dress.
Smoke & Stack (Michael B. Jordan)
Michael B. Jordan’s twins share impeccable 1930s tailoring, but their accessories help tell them apart: Smoke wears the blue flat cap, while Stack favors the burgundy brimmed hat. Build either look around a three-piece suit, vest, tie and polished vintage-style accessories.

Costume Sets
For the quickest route, start with a film-inspired set that bundles the most recognizable pieces together—then choose Smoke’s blue cap or Stack’s burgundy hat to make the character clear.
Prefer pieces you can wear again? Mix a vest or three-piece suit with pleated trousers, suspenders, a newsboy cap or fedora and a vintage-style tie for a Sinners-inspired alternative.
For the post-transformation version of Stack, finish the tailored look with vampire fangs and fake blood — an easy addition that makes the reference much more specific.
MUSIC
Dolly Parton
80 Years of Dolly
An icon in every sense of the word, dressing as Dolly this Halloween feels less like imitation and more like a celebration of eight unforgettable decades: big blonde hair, rhinestones, fringe, cowboy boots, bright pink and enough sparkle to catch the light from across the room. Whether you channel her country roots or full stage-show glamour, the rule is simple: when in doubt, add a little more. Few people made glamour feel as joyful as Dolly Parton, and for that we say "I will always love you".

The Higher the Hair...
The first step to any Dolly look is the hair. Go big, blonde and unapologetically voluminous. These wigs do most of the costume work before you even get dressed.
Pretty in Pink
Dolly never met a sparkle she didn't love, and pink is her signature color. Pink, rhinestones and Western sparkle are an easy Dolly formula. Pair a bedazzled pink jacket with sequined flares, a statement belt and a feather-trimmed cowgirl hat for a head-to-toe tribute.
Rhinestones & Fringe
If it sparkles, swings or catches the stage lights, you’re on the right track. Fringe-trimmed shirts, jackets and dresses make easy additions to a Dolly costume — and are considerably more re-wearable than most Halloween finds. These pieces fit just as easily into a Dolly costume, a Nashville bachelorette trip, or heading out to your weekly line dancing adventures!
Country Girl
Not every Dolly moment needs sequins. Channel Dolly’s Tennessee roots with denim, plaid, Western belts and plenty of fringe. Add a straw cowboy hat and boots for a more down-home take on her signature style. (See cowboy boot options at the end of this section!)
Dolly the Performer
For full stage-show Dolly, skip subtlety: metallics, sequins, flared jumpsuits and rhinestones are the assignment. Add a statement belt and towering blonde hair and you’re ready for the spotlight.
These Boots Were Made for Walking
No matter which Dolly era you choose, cowboy boots finish the look. Go classic in white leather or lean all the way in with pink, rhinestones and fringe.
Bonus Props
Perfect for the stage outfits, these rhinestone microphone replicas are a perfect prop to complete your look!
Bad Bunny & Lady Gaga
Super Bowl LX Halftime Show
Bad Bunny turned the Super Bowl LX halftime show into a full-scale Puerto Rican celebration, with Lady Gaga joining him for a salsa rendition of “Die With a Smile.” Their contrasting looks also make an unexpectedly great couples costume: head-to-toe cream for Benito and soft baby blue with pops of red for Gaga.

Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny performed in a custom head-to-toe cream look by Zara, centered around an “Ocasio 64” football-inspired jersey and finished with cream gloves and his Adidas BadBo 1.0 sneakers. Later, he added a matching double-breasted blazer.
The 64 Look
While Benito’s exact outfit was custom, recreate the monochromatic look with an oversized cream jersey or boxy top, relaxed cream pants and chunky sneakers. Add white gloves and a headset microphone to make the halftime-show reference unmistakable.
Lady Gaga
Gaga joined the performance in a custom Luar dress inspired by salsa style: light blue, body-skimming through the bodice and full of pleated movement through the skirt. Recreate it with a baby-blue tiered or ruffled dress, then add red heels and a statement red flower for the finishing contrast.
Look for cascading ruffles, pleats and a high-low or asymmetric hem—the movement of the dress is a big part of the look. Finish with the red flower, red heels and a microphone or headset for full halftime-show Gaga.
Olivia Rodrigo
"You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So in Love" (Album Cover)
Olivia Rodrigo’s album cover is basically a ready-made Halloween costume: a sweet pink mini dress with a crisp white Peter Pan collar and cuffs, slouchy white socks and chunky black Mary Janes. The contrast between prim-and-pretty and slightly off-kilter makes the look instantly recognizable — and very easy to recreate. Hanging upside down from a swing is optional, but could make a great photo op for the Halloween post.

The Pink Dress
Start with a soft pink mini dress with a white Peter Pan collar; button-front details and short sleeves get you even closer to the album-cover look.
Finish the costume with chunky black platform Mary Janes and slouchy white ankle socks—the accessories that really lock in the schoolgirl-meets-alt-pop aesthetic.
Harry Styles
"Dance No More" (Music Video)
Harry Styles' "Dance No More" music video gave us one of the most fun costumes of the year: a cropped royal blue zip hoodie over a white oxford shirt, a yellow striped tie, short and shiny red shorts and white sneakers, plus a white blazer for his big arms-out moment. Learning the choreography is up to you.

The Look
The key is the deliberately mismatched mix of preppy and sporty: layer a cropped navy zip hoodie over a crisp white shirt and striped yellow tie, then add bright red running shorts and simple white sneakers. These pieces from Amazon are sure to help you catch the vibe - and dance even more!
Pop Culture Moments
Jimothy
The Internet's Cutest Raccoon
The hero we needed this year: Jimothy took the internet by storm, and no Halloween roundup would be complete without a tribute to one very round, very determined raccoon. Go all-in with a cozy raccoon onesie, or keep it simple with ears, a striped tail and a black mask.

The Onesie
A raccoon onesie does most of the work for you. For Jimothy’s famous silhouette, add a small backpack or pillow underneath for a little extra volume.
Accessories
Already have a gray outfit? Add raccoon ears, a striped tail and a black eye mask for an easy DIY version of the look.
Punch the Monkey & His Plush
The Internet's Favorite Baby
Punch, the baby macaque, and his beloved orangutan plush became one of the internet’s sweetest duos this year. Recreate the pair as an easy solo costume with a stuffed orangutan in tow — or turn it into a surprisingly adorable couples costume, with one person as Punch and the other as his emotional-support plush.

Onesies
Opt for darker brown if you're going as Punch, and orange if you are going as the emotional support plush! For a couples costume, matching monkey onesies in two different shades make the reference easy to pull off - and extremely comfortable!
The Emotional Support Plushie (Prop)
Going solo? Carry an oversized orangutan plush as the all-important finishing touch. Even without the costume, we’re not entirely convinced you need a reason to own this one.
Alysa Liu
2026 Olympic Gold Medalist in Figure Skating
Alysa Liu gave us one of the most joyful moments of the Winter Games - and a Halloween look with plenty of personality. Recreate her gold-medal moment with a sparkling gold skating dress, white skates, an American flag and, of course, her instantly recognizable striped hair. Liu won the women’s singles title at Milano Cortina 2026, becoming the first U.S. woman to take Olympic figure-skating gold since 2002.

Go for gold - literally - with sequins, fringe or metallic sparkle. Below are some regular dresses with gold flair to maximize the repeatability of the dress in your wardrobe!
Add white figure skates, a gold medal and an American flag to recreate Liu’s Olympic victory look.
DIY Striped Hair
Perhaps unsurprisingly, there aren't many options for horizontally striped wigs. However, for a DIY alternative, we suggest starting with a light blonde wig (with bangs) and using hair-grade spray paint to create brown stripes throughout.
Note: Test a small section first, since sprays made for real hair can behave differently than on synthetic fibers. You can also call up your local craft store for advice about using spray made for clothing instead.
Bethenny Frankel
Chronicles her experience at Burning Man 2026 (via Tiktok)
Nobody expected Bethenny Frankel to turn up at Burning Man, which made her dispatches from the playa even better. Her all-too-real TikToks were everything we needed from the comfort of our sand-free homes. To honor her survival, we captured two of her standout looks: the windblown arrival look and her sunrise fit check.

Outfit 1: The Dust Storm
Recreate Bethenny’s windblown arrival with an all-white lounge set and oversized chrome goggles. Add a little dry shampoo to the hair and cosmetic setting powder to exposed skin for the full dusty-playa effect.
Outfit 2: The Sunrise Fit Check
For full Burning Man glam, layer a white faux-fur jacket over a silver fringe top with white leggings, then pile on the statement accessories: pink platform boots, mirrored shield sunglasses and a white cowboy hat.
Taylor Swift as "Stevie Knicks"
NBA Finals Courtside
Taylor Swift turned courtside style into a group-costume idea with a royal-blue STEVIE KNICKS tee, while friends joined in with matching (and equally punny) KNICKELBACK and KNICOLE KIDMAN shirts. It’s simple, instantly funny and especially easy to recreate as a group.

Ready-Made: Stevie Knicks
The easiest option: grab a royal-blue Stevie Knicks tee from Amazon and let the pun do the rest. Pair it with casual jeans or shorts for the same low-effort courtside feel.
DIY Your Own
Start with a royal-blue tee and orange iron-on letters, then recreate KNICKELBACK, KNICOLE KIDMAN or invent your own Knicks-inspired name. The more people in on the joke, the better.
Finishing Touches
Don't forget to accessorize! Take your costume game to the next level with one of these cute basketball-inspired purses.
