Au Revoir a Rose! We bid adieu to one of Emily’s signature colors in Season 3. Lily Collins as Emily Cooper in Season 3 of Emily in Paris (Netflix). The Season 3 premiere opens with Lily Collins' Emily Cooper atop the Eiffel Tower, gazing out into the open night sky. The pink feathers adorning her red jacket (a custom creation by the show’s Costume Designer, Marylin Fitoussi) gently dance in the evening breeze. The outfit itself was something we’ve come to expect from Emily: bold, textured, and not entirely practical. But it's also pink, which has become something of a signature color for her over the years. However, what happens next in her dream was much less predictable: Emily falls to her death. She wakes up startled, but as the episode unfolds we realize this dream sequence was much more than fear and anxiety; it was foreshadowing. While Emily remains physically fine, she does experience a death of sorts. As foretold, she ends up at dinner atop the Eiffel Tower in the same pink dress & pink feathered coat from the opening scene. But once her professional lives cross, Madeleine and Sylvie both fire her. She then races to Alfie's going away party where he promptly breaks up with her. So many of her personal journeys came to an end that night, and it also happens to be the last scene we see Emily in her signature bright pink. By the end of Episode 3, Emily is officially unemployed (fun-employed?) and ready for reinvention. This is where things get interesting. What piqued our interest is how Episode 4 opened with a very colorful and bold outfit – without a pinch of pink in sight. The bright orange Iris Apfel x H&M dress, metallic blue Maison Skorpios boots, and a funky tropical print bag from La DoubleJ. In fact, the only pink we see all episode is courtesy of a bottle of rosé that Emily chugs around town. After completing the season in it’s entirely, I’ve come to believe the dream sequence AND outfit choice were more intertwined than we realized. It wasn’t just Emily falling to her death, representing the loss of her identify in her marketing role. It was death to the color pink as well. To the old Emily Cooper. Beyond Episode 1, we don’t see Emily in her signature pink again all season. Pops of purple here and there, but that’s really as close as we get. Certainly nothing on the level of her premiere outfit. This stylistic change marks the beginning of a newer, bolder, and more confident version of Emily Cooper. One who is figuring out her identity and not relying on old fashion impulses. From the bodycon silhouettes, tailored suits, and incorporation of wide leg pants (hello Sylvie influence!) we are watching the reinvention of Emily Cooper through fashion. We could write all day about her fashion this season, but our favorite style development - by far - was the introduction of orange as her new standout color. Bold, fearless, and confident enough to match Emily's new outlook on life. The earrings are handmade and feature 18kt gold plated silver, blossom pink micro crystals, and an iridescent Majorca pearl centre. Love Island USA: Season 6 Episode 29 (Aftersun) Ariana's Blue Cutout Bodycon Dress The Baobab style seen on Aftersun is available at Revolve ($285) - but going fast! According to an interview the designer, the two necklaces selected for the show reflect the star signs of Chelsea (the character) as well as Aimee Lou Wood (the actor who portrays her) - and not the star sign of her onscreen love Rick (played by Walter Goggins) as many assumed. Season 3, Episode 8 Chelsea's Gold Serpent Infinity Ring At first glance we saw Chelsea wearing an infinity ring, which we assumed was symbolizing her relationship with Rick. Upon closer inspection, we see that the infinity loop is actually made of a serpent - a common symbol haunting Chelsea throughout her stay at The White Lotus. Season 3, Episode 8 Kate's Floral Halter Neck Top For their final dinner at The White Lotus, Kate wears this beautiful ensemble which includes the Evie Halter Bow Tie Top by Leo Lin, paired with the Estella Wrap Midi Skirt . If you love this style, we found an ultra affordable set by Bardot which includes the Alora Halter Top ($99) and Leia Midi Skirt ($149) available at Revolve. Season 3, Episode 8 Piper's Blue & Silver Crop Top & Midi Skirt Piper finally gave into her inner rich girl and gave us the coolest outfit of her season! Season 3, Episode 8 Belinda's Purple and Blue Caftan Belinda was seen in the gorgeous Julieta Floral Maxi Caftan by Lilly Pulitzer, which is currently sold out. Season 3, Episode 8 Victoria's Yellow Floral V-Neck Maxi Dress For the Ratliff's final dinner at The White Lotus, Victoria chose this full length dress by Lanvin (no longer available). Luckily we found a similar style by Mac Duggal that is currently available at Nordstrom . Season 3, Episode 8 Kate's Yellow Floral Bikini Top The Alight Bikini Set by Zimmermann deserved much more airtime (but looked amazing in the time it did have paired with Forte Dei Marmi Couture yellow trousers). It's sold out nearly everywhere, but we found a few sizes available at Italist . Season 3, Episode 8 Kate's Yellow High Waist Trouser Pants For their memorable last morning at The White Lotus, Kate opted for a bikini paired with yellow linen trousers. We are still looking for the exact match but found some gorgeous similar styles for the same breezy effect! Our personal favorite is the Posse Rio Trousers available at Revolve.
